Hi Dan,

IMAP is ideal for those of us who need to check email from multiple
locations and always need to see previously read email which may have been
opened on another remote machine in another location.  Mail doesn?t get
downloaded to a specific workstation but remains on the server.  If I?m not
mistaken, Exchange servers would be a typical example (although they can
support POP as well).
