That's right. Starting July 1, 2005 all HD signals will have a "broadcast flag" to prevent devices from recording and streaming the signal. You won't be able to record an HDTV broadcast and burn it to a DVD without "customizing" your hardware. (And the DMCA makes such customizations illegal.)
