Yes, it is automatic; just as you have experienced. However, sometimes it's necessary to check and verify that, for instance, the subject file is a binary file (.bin) and you've downloaded it AS a binary, rather than as a hexadecimal file (.hex) or as a plain text file (.txt). Another problem would be an incomplete d/l; one that turns out to be corrupt because of improper data transfer -- like a truncated file, etc. --russ
