I checked the System X startup items folder and I have nothing in it. There
is also a startup folder in Classic which has something in it but I wouldn¹t
that Classic would affect this as I am not signed on to Classic. I upgraded
to 10.5.1 and it still appears. I guess I am just stuck with it. Like the
thread said, it does not seem to affect anything, but it is sure very
annoying.

Looks like a problem associated with a program in the startup folder.
As users say that the dialog box does not appear in the in safe boot mode.

Subject: [MacGroup] Leopard Java problem

I just loaded Leopard on my G4 desktop and everything is fine except I keep
getting an error message about Java:

Cannot launch Java application

Uncaught exception in main method:
Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
Javax.security.sasl.Sasl.setSaslServerFactory (Ljavx/
Security/sasl/SaslServerFactory;)V

I hit quit but it keeps appearing back on my desktop. How do I fix the
problem? And what does this mean? I am able to get on the internet okay with
Firefox.
