Is this for all hubs? Or, are some better than others?

Its not so much the power to the device it is the data coming and going

Interesting. So, perhaps plugging in directly instead of through a power
strip? Or using a higher quality power strip may fix the problem?

Stuart, I know That Wacom tablets do not like being used thru a hub. I
teach a online class on the ins and outs of Wacom tablets and over the
years I found out what does and doesn't work with them.:)
Also issues with the voltage being supplied by the hub to the device can
cause interruption of the data stream which can cause a device to stop
working.

Subject: [MacGroup] Hub question

I've been having issues with a USB 2.0 powered hub. Some things plugged
into it seem to work on and off. Is there a reason for this? Items
plugged directly into the back of my mini work fine, but i only have 2
USB ports back there. Could the hub be bad? It is driving me a bit
crazy.
