According to Adobe's Leopard FAQ [1], Elements 4.0 is "Likely to encounter issues for which there is no resolution." I couldn't get it to work on my Macbook or Mini. On the Mini, it refused to launch at all and on the Macbook it would freeze up as soon as the machine connected to a network drive as well as at other unpredictable times.
