Hi Bill,

My router went kaput a few months ago. It was a Linksys. I bought
another Linksys from Radio Shack. (Model RangePlus WRT110) The design is
totally different and there are no external antennae.

I've had good luck with linksys but I really can't speak to the range as
I live in a three story brick house (circa 1904 and the exterior walls
interior supporting walls are 18" thick). My router is in the front room
on the second floor.

The signal transfers to the adjoining room where my TIVO picks it up.
The kitchen is in the back room of the house on the first floor and
barely gets a signal, if at all. I get a partial signal in the 1st floor
front room.

Good luck with your selection.

Harry
