I’m running iTunes 9.1.1 on a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac using Mac OS X
10.6.3 and can’t figure out how to get iTunes to work the way I think it should.

I’ve copied an audio CD from my collection into iTunes as MPEG audio files.
Everything seemed to be working right; however after it finished I can’t get
the album to show up in album view. It and many others albums show up in one
album on the grid called “Various Artists” (19 Albums, 337 Items). When I
double click on this album the album art of all the albums appears and beside
each is a list of the bands on that album. Only six of the 18 bands of the
musical I just copied are listed. These six are bands in which various artist
are performing (e. g. overture, chorus). Where did the other 12 bands go. I
finally found them. Actually I still don’t know where they are but I finally
found them on a list. The only way I can get all 18 bands listed is if I look
not under Music, but under Playlists/90’s Music.

Apparently seven of my albums are from the 90s, and the one I copied today is
one of them. Why won’t the album show up in the Music album grid? It’s a
musical. When I want to play it, I want to play the whole thing. I don’t want
to have to hunt and peck all over iTunes trying to find the various parts.

This album is listed under compilations as well.

Is it possible to get all the albums (and bands) to show under Music?
