If you have another Linux system available, you can run fsck on the
uSD filesystem and possibly copy off your data if the uSD is having
problems.  Since the system doesn't boot with the old screen, I
suspect you have some sort of corruption.  Note that you have to
cleanly shut-down the BeagleBone (don't just power it off) or you will
get file system corruption.  I've also had uSD cards that just became
flaky...typically they work OK again after reformatting.
