I'm using Putty on my Windows 7 box:

115,200 baud
8n1
no parity
no flow control

You might play with the terminal settings.  I usually use VT100 or
Linux, but I typically don't see any issues with either until I try
using full-screen programs (like vi).  Most anything should be OK for
interacting with the U-Boot terminal prompt.
