Hi all! I did search the archive for such an obvious problem, and although there were a few messages that were more or less related, I didn't find any definitive answer.
My problem is that I cannot access any secured web sites using IE 5.1.2 (bundled with 10.1). I made sure that the proxies settings are set, specially the secure section, but whenever I try to access one of those "https" sites, I get an error saying "A network error has occurred (-3159)." I can access the same site using IE 5.5 on my NT box. I've checked the settings under 5.5 and I see that they added an additional one, called "Use automatic configuration script", in "LAN Settings", under "Connection" in "Internet Preferences". I cannot find this setting in the "Proxy" settings. I can access the same sites using Communicator, which is also set to use this automatic configuration thing. So, is Internet Explorer for Mac 5.1.2 lacking those settings and this functionality? I cannot understand that they overlooked such a common thing... -Laurent. -- ===================================================================== Laurent Daudelin Developer, Multifamily, ESO, Fannie Mae mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Washington, DC, USA ********************** Usual disclaimers apply ********************** COBOL /koh'bol/ n.: [COmmon Business-Oriented Language] (Synonymous with evil.)
