I just DLd the software for it from Asante's web site. I happen to have one of these boxes, I got it an an auction a few years ago. I have used it extensively, but never bothered to DL the software, because it always just worked. Needless to say, on mine, I can admin it from the Ethernet side. Running the Asante Print Manager software (v 2.4.2), it showed the device right away. So if you aren't seeing it from the Ethernet side, then something may be wrong with it. I would be leary of that DC wall wart. And hopefully it didn't do damage. (I have the original power supply, and it is most definitly a 12vAC brick. It is rated for 1.25 amps just for your reference) On a side issue... now that I have run the software on mine, I find that the previous owner put a password on it. Anyone have any idea how to default the password so I can get into mine to do some admin if I choose (I don't need to since it works just fine the way it is, but it is always nice to have full access to the hardware you own). -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- MacNetwork is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
