1) Get an ethernet cable 2) Connect the two computers using the cable. 3) Connect the iMac to the internet using its dial-up modem 4) in System Preferences -> Sharing ->Internet, share the modem to other computers using built-in ethernet. 5) turn on Internet Sharing
Now you should be able to surf from both computers at the same time.
