Hi; is anyone else having this problem?

I have wireless 802.11b in my home, via a cable modem and a wirless router,
and all is well...

EXCEPT when I try to use my AOL 5.0 (for non-OSX Macs). I get a connection
with it, and use it, but SOMETIMES it signs off for no reason (says it "lost the
connection"). And when it does that, my wifi stops working alltogether. After
AOL signs off unexpectedly, I cannot use anything; IE, Netscape, etc.

And I have to reset (turn off then on) my router & cable modem.

Make sure your AOL set up isn't trying to trying to provide IP access. AOL SW can use an IP connection or it can create an IP connection. It shouldn't try to do both but it's something to check. Look at the TCP/IP controll panel and make sure the wireless connection is selected. Also check the preferences to make sure it's not somehow set to provide IP.

The other thing is to try running for a long enough period without AOL running, it might have nothing to do with AOL. Is there a chance the computer slept prior to it loosing connection. I've had my wireless card not get power after it wakes up.
