Yes, that is EXACTLY what happens to me. And sometimes, it seems to make my 
entire wireless network go down, necessitating turning the power off then on on 
my cable modem and wireless router.

I thought it might be limited to the laptop itself... but once when the AOL 
disconnect seemed to knock out my wireless altogether, I got on my wired PC 
desktop, and it worked. I then got on another wifi laptop (a Mac) and it did not 
work.

In any event, I tried setting the script (in AOL's Expert Settings) to 
"Airport" instead of "Cable Modem" which was recommended. So far, I have not had 
that dreaded "Welcome/Goodbye!" sign on-off thingie...
