I have a LAN and I use a cable Modem. On my LAN are a G3, a G4, a 3400
PowerBook, and a Quadra 610. Not long ago I had file sharing working from my
G3 as Server and my Quadra 610 as a client.
Then for some reason myQuadra 610 couldn't find the G3 in the AppleShare
list, even though it could still access the Internet using iCab or Anarchie.
I tried everything I could think of to fix this problem including calling
Apple to no avail. Finally a few days ago I think that I have figured out the
problem. I found that I had connected a printer to the printer port and a
modem to the modem port and I have an Extension called Remote Only, so I
think that is why I could connect to the Internet while not being able to
connect to the G3.
What do you all think?
