Mac BU announces Ms. M.o.X.i.e. contest

With the chance to win $10K and a new iMac, M$ knows the way to a Mac user's heart
M$' Mac BU is running a contest and they're looking for a Mac-toting businesswoman
that uses Office to keep the competition on the run.
"Are you a savvy businesswoman? Do you use a Mac and Microsoft�Office for Mac to stay
ahead of the pack?" queries M$' contest page. "If so, we're looking for you!"
Enter the Microsoft Office�v.�X "Search for Ms.�M.o.X.i.e." (Microsoft Office�v.�X
Integrated Experience) contest and you could win $10,000 cash plus a new iMac loaded
with Office�v.�X.
Contest participants are required to submit a one-page essay nominating themselves or
a businesswoman they admire. Entries must show the businesswoman's:
� Originality of business practice and/or her role in that practice;
� Proven success (as shown through sales, business longevity, etc.);
� Agility and business insight;
� Illustrated use of Macintosh and some version of Office for Mac prior to the contest
start; and
� Overall achievement as a smart and determined business woman
Nominations will be accepted October 8 through November 4, 2002. Semi-finalists will
be announced November 12, with online public voting for Ms�M.o.X.i.e. beginning the
same day! Votes can be cast online on the Mactopia Web site. Winner will be announced
December 4.
Editor's note: Although this is the Mac BU and not Redmond per se running the show,
the sheer inventiveness and appeal of this contest impresses me. Yes, it's the "great
Satan" of the software business, but I encourage you to participate -- whether that
means you personally or you nominating a friend, partner or family member.
