Apple holiday rebate trims the eMac below $1000
By Michael Flaminio, Insanely Great Mac
November 22nd 2002

A new Apple rebate takes $100 off of the all-in-one eMac

If you're in the market for a new eMac, they just got $100 cheaper, at least through
mail. A new mail-in rebate from Apple trims the price of certain configurations the
all-in-one computer $100. With the rebate, the base stock configuration is now $999.
The rebate runs between November 22 and December 28, 2002.

The rebate can be combined with Apple's current RAM promotion, letting customer double
ram configurations for a small fee. For example the entry model can be doubled from
128 MB to 256 MB for $10. When ordering, be sure to look into specifying a single
memory chip configuration, which will leave the eMac's second RAM slot open for future
upgrades.

The fine print states that the eMac equipped with a SuperDrive is not included in the
promotion. Specifically, the rebate is good on M8891ll/a and Z06M eMac 700 MHz
configurations. The rebate check is stated to arrive in eight weeks from mailing.
