Apple cleans up some rough edges, improves Flash performance, adds XML support
Apple has posted an update for its hot, new Safari web browser. In addition to bug
fixes, the Safari Update 2-12-03 improves compatibility with popular websites,
displays webpages and Flash content more quickly, increases standards compliance and
improves stability.
Safari's Flash performance on some sites has been less than stellar to date. This most
recent version aims boost performance for pages heavily rendered in Macromedia's
industry-standard animation standard.
Lastly, the update adds XML support, which to date has been a glaring omission on its
feature list.
