WebConference.com is Mac friendly

PowerPoint, Outlook tools now available for web-conferencing services

WebConference.com has announced new software that enhances a web conferencing
experience dramatically and its Mac friendly.

"For people who do many PowerPoint presentations over the web and use Outlook [Classic
only] to send e-mail and schedule these conferences, there will be a dramatic savings
of time and energy," explained Frank Morrison, CTO.

The PowerPoint Presentation Tool selects a PowerPoint file and stores it in an online
account for real-time meetings. Each WebConference.com account holds presentations for
sharing with up to 100 participants. The presenter selects the slide to be displayed
that is then shown to guests. These presentations remain available, ready on-demand
for an audience. Audio communication is included with the service using telephone
conferencing. Voice over Internet is also available.

The Outlook WebConference Manager schedules or starts a meeting from Outlook. Inviting
Outlook contacts or adding new contacts is done easily with a few mouse clicks.
Invited guests are sent password-protected e-mail invitations. Additionally, the
software automatically synchronizes the scheduled conferences into Outlook's calendar
with a reminder notice.

The company welcomes reseller inquiries.

Editor's note: I'm not exactly sure how a lack of Outlook WebConference Manager
compatibility for the Mac and the words "Mac friendly" jive.

However, M$ has announced that Outlook compatibility for OS X is coming to the Mac.
