yes, though i haven't bothered -- i don't generally hang onto video content -- i've considered doing it for moving content from one TiVo to another; i've heard its NIC is fairly slow on current models
Can you record from Line In?
it's not designed for this use, but i think you can use an RF converter to do this (for non-HD content), but i've never tried it
