I tryed to compile maports tarball with the provided gcc (4.0), but the linker ran out of memory at final stage. What if I try with an older version of macports? Let's say 2.9.3 for instance? Nothing strictly necessary, it's just an hobby, but it would be grate to have a sufficiently recent gcc, ssh, git, and other small cli tools, to interact with my home LAN. -- Michele
