Hello folks. I was listening to a podcast called "the maccast" and they mentioned their sponsors. It turned out they made software for the Mac, so out of curiosity i went to their home pages to check them out. Pathfinder from www.cocoatech.com is a finder replacement that has some extra features that you don't find in the regular finder. Unfortunately though for vo users, buttons are unlabeled and so are check boxes and other controls and no help tags exist for them, and it seems the only view it works decently in is the column view. In the other views you just get "unknowns". Note book from www.circusponies.com, (has it ever struck you guys what cool names these software makers have for their companies?), is a very interesting program. It's a note book as the name suggests, but it's so much more. You can take a selected piece of text and from within the app you're working with you can put it in a clip page, so that you can read or use it later, but that's just the beginning, or so i gather. Buttons are labeled as are other controls, however you can't see the text you're working with once it's in the app so it's a case of "so close but yet so far". Would there be an interest from you guys to make these apps further accessible? Could someone else more knowledgeable have a look at them as well? I'm not terribly good at contacting developers to communicate the glory of VO to people, so if i could get some advise or if someone who's really good at this could do it, if we want these progs to be available even to us, that would be great. Both these programs are shareware. I have no price tag for the note book app, but the path finder is $39.95 i think. Thanks for reading this rather long mail. /Krister
