Hello Brian,

1.
The issue of having your threads not being deleted quickly may be a problem
specific to your computer. I use mail every day, in conversation view, to
delete hundreds and hundreds of thread, with gMail accounts, exchange accounts,
and custom server accounts and do not experience the deletion lag that you
describe. I am using a mid 2014 MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I do not use
mail with any POP3 accounts, however.

>From time-to-time, I do notice a one or two second delay when deleting threads
>but this is because of the various remote servers, generally speaking, or
>because my home WiFi band with is being used for something else, such as
>streaming a video.

Have you tried rebooting your entire home WiFi network?

2.
As for the list of senders being read before the subject line of a thread, as
yet, I know of no workaround.

Mark

Subject: Mail issues in Yosemite

So I finally updated my old 2010 iMac to Yosemite, and have been running
Yosemite on my laptop for awhile, but I do not use my laptop so I guess I did
not notice this as much. Is there anyway to fix or find a better work around
for the issue of quickly reading mail in threads as half the time I hit delete
on a message in a thread and the message just stays there instead of
automatically going to the next message I have to close the thread then open it
again to get to the next unread mail message. Sometimes reading in threads
works, but most of the time it does not making using mail in thread
conversation quite annoying. Also did anyone find any setting to stop having
everyones email read to you on email thread topics before the subject? Thanks,
