Hello Wayne,

There are lots of dictation commands on the Mac. First, make sure that you have 
selected Use Enhanced Dictation in the Dictation & Speech pane of System 
preferences. Then go to the Accessibility pane and select Dictation in the 
Accessibility features table. Now click the Dictation Commands… button and 
you’ll find a table containing a long list of commands.
You can also assign your own commands to specific key combinations. I’ve found 
that selecting an application to which these should apply doesn’t seem to work. 
But selecting all applications does. So if you choose to add a command for 
Cmd-Shift-d, it will work for sending an e-mail and for opening the Desktop 
folder.
