Oh good. I thought I was the only one that had this problem. I went into preferences also, and checked and unchecked the same box about playing other mail sounds. I checked that box again, and no sound plays when I receive mail. Its weird this keeps happening. This never happened when I was onSnow Leopard. That would be awesome if someone could report this issue to Apple.
