Well my issue is that I get the send mail sound but do not get the new mail sound

On the Output tab, set the "select a device for output" option to internal speakers. 5. Close the dialogue box. Now, open the mail application and see what happens. I just updated to OS 10.11.1 today. I’m still not getting any new message sound when I receive something in Mail. I thought Apple was going to fix this. I decided for now to just get alerts for mail in notification center so I'll know when I get new email for now. Has anyone else had this problem after they updated?
