What about mesh routers like the erro which maybe about 300 for a pair of 3 and would they do a better job then a regular router .

Also, you very well may replace the router with a new one and be in the same boat. Stock antennas are pretty much garbage with some exceptions but the cheaper the router the less quality antennas are attached. And $34 isn’t exactly a bunch of money, just about a 3rd the cost of the low end router you found for $100. So what would I do, in a perfect world do both. Then she’ll have a better router and the propagation issues will probably be solved at the same time. Also, when you upgrade the router the next time as long as you use the same connectors you can reuse the antennas and not need to buy new.
