Yes. Pressing a button on the remote for the device that you want to switch to switches it there. It will even turn the TV on if the TV is off. I have DirecTV, and Amazon fire stick, and fourth generation Apple TV. I can't speak to the third generation one. Also, it seems to me that this ability to do this switching when you punch a button on the remote started happening after a recent firmware update. Why that should be, I haven't a clue. I will have to get the model number for you, as I don't remember it. And my sided partner is still sleeping. I am Magine my TV was on the opposite end of the Samsung spectrum from Scott. It is not 4K. And I think it's only a 32 inch screen. I do have a nice sound bar for it. I got it on sale at Best Buy sometime around the holidays. Quite honestly, if I were going to buy a TV now, I would want to know a lot more about the new Amazon TV set. I'm really impressed with the work that they're doing over there with voiceview. I think it has the best sound, and is the most flexible. But I don't know about the capability of the actual TV to do the thing you want to do. If That worked, and I were buying a TV now, I would not hesitate to get the Amazon one.
