Further to my Voice Dream Reader for Desktop woes, I’ve played with the
application some more and I have finally managed to find the actual text in the
area voiceover reads as “web area” and then having interacted with it I found
voiceover said “frame” and having interacted with it again, I found the text.
I can’t quite determine how I found the text other than trying to activate
‘full screen” by pressing letter F - something I found in the menus. I was
able to read a few pages using just my Braille display. However, as soon as I
left the area and looked elsewhere on my computer, I lost the place where I
finished reading, which meant I had to spend a long time scrolling down to find
my place again. I noticed the meter that shows how much of the book has
already been read and how much is left showed zero, which makes me think
reading using braille display doesn’t actually register on the meter hence I
lost my place in the book. I shall have to play with it some more. It would
appear the Braille display focus doesn’t move the Voiceover focus with it.
