Lidar is an extremely useful feature that can be utilized by blind individuals in many ways. The iPhone Pro models include native utilities such as people, distance and door detection, and the new Scene Detection offered in iOS 18. Apps such as the free SeeingAI, have been taking advantage of Lidar for several years, as does many other apps that use AI.
