Lidar is available only on Pro and Pro Max iPhones. It was introduced 4 years ago, with the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models.

First of all, the size difference between the iPhone 16 and the 16 Pro is negligible, and you won’t notice the difference unless you put one up along side the other, so I wouldn’t give that any consideration. Secondly, as for Lidar, that depends on you, and how you plan to use your device. If you are interested in using apps that take advantage of Lidar, then you should consider the Pro model.
