Sorry but it could never be the case. One cannot put files into "oblivion"
by using cut. The OS only actually cuts after doing a paste. More over, it
only cut and paste the  very last thing you issued the cut command. You can
press the cut command while browsing files and folders endlessly and you'll
never lose anything cause you will have to issue the paste command before it
does any actual cutting. Also it will make sure that it has pasted  first
before it will cut. You may turn off, or do a force shutdown, or just unplug
but you will never lose anything

I guess I don't mind copying files instead of cutting. I've put many a file
into oblivion in Windows by cutting, so I guess I can deal with the extra
time it takes to copy.
