Hi Carolyn, Yes that is what I was told and I should correct myself. I did state that trying to scan the barcode of a can is a little tricky, but I did manage it once. I have not tried the technique on a few other cans, but your tip is spot on. However, again, a good idea is to hold the phone against the item and back away during the scan process. That is how I did get a can scanned.
