Although Microsoft has not shown any interest in accessibility for their office suite on the Mac, I would be very surprised if they made any significant changes and to include actively ditching accessibility for Mac users. Now if they did, I think they would face a substantial backlash. Of course one hopes that Microsoft would not be that foolish.
