Yeah but optical drives are going the way of the dinosaur. We have iTunes, amazon, netflix, and other sources to obtain media content. You want an app, just download it from the web or the Mac app store. Don't be surprised in 2 years, if all macbooks follow the air and get rid of their optical drives.
