Who ever said they got good results with Vuescan OCR, I'd like to know how you set it up. All I know is this. With Vuescan 9.45, (the 32 bit version), the following things happen after I set it up according to the instructions.
1. Text editor refuses to open when the scan is completed. This did not happen with earlier version. 2. When I manually opened the file in Text edit, all I get is unreckognizable garbage. This, from the very same page which yielded very good results with Abby Fine reader. I believe that if I am not much mistaken, Christer was complaining of the very same issues.
