Hi guys. There are some very good reasons to use 40 cells instead of 32 for some people. This 40 cell one I have is much lighter than my Focus 40 that I'm about to give back to the state of Texas.
For one thing, if you use Web Braille, the files are done with 38 cells as the righthand margin. Although you can read in Web Braille with fewer cells than 40, you are always assured of getting a complete braille line with a 40 cell display. A 40 cell line is standard with NLS. Although the display is longer with a 40 cell ddvice, this particular one is not awkward like some of them can be with a longer display. I think it depends how heavy the device is. One of these days, when I feel like it, I may get one of those little bitty ones for the iPhone. I can't justify the cost right now because this little thing is pretty to use with the iPhone, what with the light leather carrying case and all.
