If you are looking for software, such as that which works with Microsoft word to help detect formatting mistakes, I think you may be out of luck. I have never had any problems using Pages to format my own psychology papers, though, so you should be able to write papers in APA style in Pages without any problems, as long as you keep the APA style guide on hand.
