Hey all,

With my latest disaster with gmail, and gmail having so many issues with
Mavericks and Google obviously not planning on improving the accessibility to
their web interface anytime soon, I am thinking about switching from gmail to
iCloud as I already have a me.com email but never use it. A few thoughts as I
know some of you have switched recently, and just want to see if there is
anything I am not thinking of.

Besides the obvious letting everyone know my email has switched and updating
list memberships and websites with my new email, does anyone know if there is a
way to change your Apple ID as my log in is my gmail user name.

I use mac mail and have created what I thought were folders in mac mail for all
saved messages, but now understand they are just labels. I had created these in
gmail and noticed I can easily just switch all these folders to iCloud. Is your
iCloud amount of storage for mail based on your iCloud plan? Is there a better
way to save important messages? Until now I have never had a problem. Does
iCloud have an all mail folder like gmail where I might run in to a problem of
stuff getting deleted? The strange thing is I did not delete any of the
messages I lost in all mail I deleted them from the server in sent mail and
since they were messages I had received and labeled you would have thought they
would have stayed in all mail since they were received and labeled, but for
some reason that was not the case.

Anything else I should be thinking about when switching mail providers? Thanks,
