Hi Cheryl,

According to Apple, you are totally able to change the eMail address associated 
with your Apple ID.  To see details, visit:

The main thing to note in here is the conditions up front.  One of them being 
that it can't be an iCloud account as the iCloud account is actually already an 
Apple ID.
