Right! But, instead of reinventing the wheel, let's take what we have: a Gtk based device. Have we already Gtk based PIM apps for embedded devices like this? Answer: Yes, there are GPE [1] apps, and some are already ported to Maemo platform. So, we need more hacking in those apps to integrate and sync them with 'traditional' desktop world.
