Looking at the complete picture, it doesn't surprise me. WiMax penetration in the US has not happened. Nor has it happened anywhere else. Nokia has already said they are working on the next gen tablet. So rather then keep flogging a dead horse they are doing an EOL on that WiMax part. It is a good mid-term strategy IMHO.
