The quick way, download it
wget http://home.mminternet.com/~delaroca/bin/alpine.gz
and place in your home directory, decompress it... you do need to have
both 'ncurses-base' and osso-xterm installed... then from within xterm,
launch it as './alpine' and see if it starts... if it launches ok, then go
to
http://home/mminternet.com/~delaroca
for pointers on how to initially configure alpine with your email account
and servers.
