I recall pine version for 2006. Worked fine, but mutt is, my
opinion, much better client. It is available for 2006 and
could be set to send and receive mail from pop3/imap. Pine
fans are numbered in millions and would be fine if alpine
changes some pine's behaveours from previous versions.
