Hi Mahogany Users!

Just a query/gripe/issue I had with mahogany:

Where are the user prefs stored? The reason I liked
Mahogany, was the small size, and the features... I
installed it on my student drive, however, I fear you are
using the registry of hell to store your preferences...

I checked for file changes, and couldn't find any, also
there is no place to check this information, or indeed, any
preferences to change the global directory.

What would be nice is to be able to select the program
working directory, or program path, in the preferences.

Right now when I move computers I cannot get my config,
which means that it is left somewhere insecure for prying
eyes.

I always wondered what was wrong with .confs and .ini
files... to me they seem so eloquent - and registry
usage should be reserved for something more relevant... an
application of which in mahogany I cannot see.

Of course, this is very presumptuous, since I haven't
installed mahog. at home, and only tried it at uni, and not
being a local or domain admin, I cannot regedit to see... :(

Could someone tell me the current state of the preferences,
and the chances of having a XML .conf file with the
properties in, and updating the prefs (get rid of the
images! and have a multi line tab flow!).

Just some nags from me!

Still looking for the perfect SMTP/POP3/IMAP/MIME mail
client with a simple address book (I like the auto address
grabbing feature, very nice)

Thanks for you time and patience!

Chris
