 Using config file is already possible since a couple of months at least,
you just have to (always) use "--config=<filename>" option for this.

 However this isn't really very useful as you can't just take the file with
you to another machine as there are always machine-specific settings in it,
e.g. window size or the paths to the last file you attached. What we really
need is a way to migrate and (especially!) merge the config info in some
smart way. But, as everything smart, this is hard to do [right]...
