Does anyone know if there are AOL User-controllable switches? Can we give the user instructions on how to individually "whitelist" our messages?

After checking with individual AOL users off-list, we're starting to get responses such as the following. Seems to be some inconsistency in the details (gone completely or in spam folder, or some of both), but something definitely happened. We cannot comply with the whitelist requirements, so may have to unsubscribe all the AOL people and tell them to use a different email if they still wish to be on the list.
That's kind of a bummer for them. Anyone have any human being contacts at AOL to try to resolve this with them?
