Honestly, I'd suggest you assign someone with a different set of skills to work 
this issue, especially with colleagues at other organizations and in public 
fora. It's a role that requires soft skills as well as data analysis and domain 
expertise, especially when you're not clearly in the right or not clearly the 
big dog in the relationship. You wouldn't expect your SEO specialist to 
negotiate a peering agreement; let your deliverability specialists do what 
they're good at.
