If the line is pink, not red, the message is just a warning, and the  
database has been installed properly.

You do need to create one or more MySQL userids before installing  
Mantis as described in 
http://www.logicaloutcome.ca/commentary/mantis_secure_mysql_setup.html 
  . An administrator is not necessary unless you want the more secure  
MySQL setup.
